Task Ten- Costume Choices

1) Teenage Girl: The style for the rebellious teenager who held the house party & died of taking drugs was inspired by Effy Stonem in the TV series 'Skins'. Effy has a really messy, grungey look which portrays her mischievous personality. Her makeup is always smudged and hair is messy from the night before so when we show the shot of the dead teenager we want her to look similar to Effy. Meg will wear party attire such as a body con dress and converse.

2) Detective: The style for the detective has to be very formal & smart to show her superiority and having the sense of power over the investigation. She will wear a classy pencil skirt, shirt & blazer paired with black heels. Also with the outfit she will wear a detective badge/identity card. Hair will be neatly tied back and with natural minimal makeup.

3) Forensics: For this style we are following the typical image of a Forensic Scientist by using the proper Forensics white suits and blue elastic gloves. The Forensics will also carry brief-cases and specific equipment (e.g. cotton buds & plastic containers).

We was really inspired by the TV Drama Series 'Silent Witness' for the Detective and Forensics Costumes & equipment. 'Silent Witness' is a really popular crime series so we have been extremely inspired by the character's images.

The witness's and the Mother & Father of the teenage girl will be wearing general every-day clothes.
